This article is about the Government College of Teacher Education, which was founded in 1950. This college has started to educate students in the territory of three acres, can you imagine that? But with the time, this university has extended its territory and by 2001 it had already had three blocks of full value, a big library and a big hall for celebrating different events and for the arranging different meetings. The university has been planning to build a new block, so to say, Science Block, but unfortunately, they have not managed to do it yet. The university has a hostel for the students, but, unfortunately, it is located in 5 kilometers from the university.

As the university is one of the biggest buildings of Kozhikode, all the social events, are different concerts or exhibitions are taking place there. This university is very good one, but it really needs some changes to be made. But, as it is a governmental establishment, it is almost impossible to it to receive money for its rebuilding and improving. A lot or requests have already been made for the sum money assigning to the university restoration, but, unfortunately, without any results. But, the university does not lose its hope.
